Mike has a true rags to riches success story that proves anyone can do what they set their minds to. He grew up in poverty bouncing from home to home and realized at age 17, when he moved away for college, that there was this early retirement movement – nicknamed the “FIRE Movement.” It was there, in his college dorm-room that he set out to be the youngest retiree, and retire in only 7 short years (17 to 24 years of age). He achieved the goal of becoming a self-made millionaire, with a young family, at the age of 24 through hard work, extreme frugality, and astute Real-estate investing.
Today, Mike (26) works hard to share what worked for him, what didn’t, and to help educate others on all things Real-Estate and personal finance. He is now on a mission to help educate & assist others on all things Real Estate as they unlock financial independence for themselves! He recently co-founded a full service real estate investment management firm (RightWay Management Inc.) in London, Ontario that specializes in helping investors unlock much higher than normal market returns so that they can unlock early retirement through rental income cash-flow (averaging $1000+/month per property he partners with investors on). He is currently scaling up very quickly, acquiring over one property per week in London with investor partners. If you have an investment balance that satisfies your lifestyle then that’s it.. you’ve won the game. Ditch the rentals and live off a 4% SWR and enjoy a peaceful life. Every dollar you die with represents you doing something you didn’t have to do. You’re frugal as they come so I don’t know why you keep working. Everyone always wants more though. I think it’s like 20% more. Maybe you feel that it’s surreal that you literally don’t have to do anything that’s considered work anymore.
I have a building lot 20 min from London. Is it a good time to build a house during Covid? And would you recommend finding long term tenants, or rather something like Airbnb or Vrbo? Thanks, love your streams, and hope to get in touch with your guys if/when I buy my first rental property
Just do something that will make you money whilst you sleep, no matter how little. Lock down has been a perfect eye opener for us all to really see how life can be without your usual income stream. It's recommendable for you to having a side hustle. The best thing you can do for yourself is to find a way to make money even while sleeping especially now we have to work and earn from home, Having different streams of making money is the solution to survive. And I've been doing that by investing in the stocks, bitcoin and financial market and I'm grateful to say I've earned up to $18,600 so far this month working with a professional Mr. Austin Grey through his registered trading investment company.
