I love your energy in presentation and values that you share. I think if a person criticizes you too harshly it can show more a reflection of their negative quality of mind that is being projected rather than is actually due to you.
I agree with you about YouTubers making more money doing videos than with stock picking.
This has always been a very lucrative market. Sometime for the wrong reasons and with bad outcome for investors.
I use an average « expected » return between 8% and 12% for my stock picking (6% to 10% real rate after 2% inflation rate). I have good years but also bad years. The long term average is more important. If I can’t achieve that, I have to quit stock picking and put all my money into index funds !
My average for last 15 years has been 8.2%, compared to 8.6% for the S&P.
That is not too bad. But I’m not satisfied at all ! Last 2 years have been absolutely horrible for me. I hope the pandemic can end and my portfolio restore a little bit..
I also own Intel. I’m very angry. I should have sold this one long ago.. They are 2 years behind AMD and Nvidia in new chips developments.
I don’t know if they can make it back. They have so much ressources (financial and skills). But management has been dragging their feet for many years.
This could be the end of a great American company.
I have not sold yet. But I will look into that. Not sure they still deserve to keep my hard earned capital…
