I'm in this rut where I'm fighting for my freedom, spending constant hours learning and growing all while battling with suicidal thoughts, and mental health issues, from a very young age I was almost designed to struggle if not fail. being dyslexic, and having Aspergers and other neurological issues, I never use my set backs as an excuse, only as another obstacle to overcome, but I can't help but think…….. am I meant for more, unfortunately no one is there to help….. reality is, we are all alone, and there for must figure this out, alone.
Of course "passive income" exist! Just ask the I.R.S.
For the people claiming, that doing some initial work, disqualifies an income source, as being "passive income" – are incorrect.
If you're one of those people – then you're not understanding that "passive income" is a specific tax terminology. If you're breaking the terminology down, into the word "passive" only, that is why you're incorrect.
I'll give some random examples of passive income…
Anyone who is strictly the "money" in an investment company, or investment opportunity. Any money they make, is 100% passive income.
If you have a stock broker that invests your money. Any profit you make from those stocks, is passive income.
Also, any other business, or source of income – where it is no longer necessary for you to do active work, in said business. This includes any business that you may have initially had to dedicate work to. The only time that business would no longer be passive income, is if the business made absolutely no profit.

Yes, passive income is a business that doesn't need you to be running it to make a living out of it. Internet made it mainstream but it does exist for years.

Of course passive income exists. Echoing what everyone else here has said so far … Gary is simply trying to get people to understand that hard work almost always comes before passive income. Gary has never been a lazy person, but many of his followers (many of us!) are. We want to get rich quick and passive income sounds so easy! Go build something meaningful, earn some money, and THEN make that money work for you.
