Congrats on your portfolio! It's ok to average up sometimes. Sometimes a stock won't comeback down to lower lows. If a stock is doing well it's alright to buy it at a higher price, owning more shares helps your return on equity. Averaging down is great but if there's a strong surge it would be better to average up especially with dividend stocks.
I can completely relate on the stock volatility effecting market gains. I only had 5 stocks in my portfolio to M1 Finance and i made some changes adding more holdings in besides and etf to help diversify it more. Did it last weekend then this week it went a little more smoothly.
If you want a holding suggestion i would suggest getting PGX since its an invesco etf with preferred stocks so you can get more monthly dividends with them. 😀

You are absolutely stunning and your advice is on point, however there's no need to say single after every.
My top three favorite since I have/will have significant amount of shares in 😂: T (att) since they own time warner, MO (Altria) connection with Cronos (a weed company), and soon GLPI (Gaming and Leisure Properties) a casino Real Estate. Out of curiosity, how many stocks will you like to have in your portfolio?
Is it bad that my portfolio is like 85 percent REITS that pay monthly dividends, I’m very attractive to the extra income and the real estate sector seams stable for the long run, but is it really a bad thing that I’m not diversified in other sectors of the market

You talked about preferring to hold a stock for longer terms. Please give some examples of how long you hold stocks. Of my top 5 holdings, I've held O (Realty Inv) since Apr 2018….SO (Southern Company) since July 2018…WSM (Williams Sonoma) since Sept 2016… VZ (Verizon) since Sept 2016, and RDS.A (Royal Dutch Shell) since Nov 2015.

Top 3 right now to buy are prob ibm, Bp, and oxy for me. I’m all about huge dividends and buying dips.

My three favorite stocks right now :
JPM – it had strong earnings, large and diversified banking business, strong balance sheet and very low price (pe of 12).
DE – it had a difficult year, but I think the worst is behind them, they make quality equipments, they have advanced technology, are expanding in Europe, and the stock is still cheap (pe of 17). I think it’s a great buy here.
BBY – Expectations are too low (recession) and investors fear that they will have more trouble with new tariffs (trade war). But I think they can have a good holiday season and continue on their strong earnings performance. Few people realise, but they also are the 3rd largest online retailer in America (behind Amazon and Walmart). Very low price (pe of 13).
