There needs to be a serious talk around the concept of passive income. If you think there is a special way to just have money flood into your bank account while you sit on a beach and do nothing, you are very mistaken. Nobody you know that is making passive income didn’t grind for years and years before they were making enough “passive income” to live comfortably.

I don’t really believe in “passive income”. For example, my YouTube videos take HOURS to write, direct, produce, and edit. Not to mention the social media stuff you have to do along with it. It’s work. I generally enjoy the process and know my hard work will pay off. Happiness is loving what you do not how much you make 🤷🏻♀️.
Amen to calling out bullshit on Instagram courses and ebooks that are full of deeply depressed individuals – lying to the public about their success – as well as their true intentions. 🙏🏾
I’ve felt this void of “why – am I not able to get the followers or growth on social media if my intentions are sound?” It’s because of what you just said Gary, 7 years – 10 years – keep chipping away and maybe you’ll get something… or save that money and put it into the stock market ( which is defiantly going down to invest in ) or save for a down payment on a multi unit home! ( still difficult to get but possible )

Passive income can exist in the form of working hard to build something, then put it out for sell on a specific marketplace.
But in the end, everything involves working hard to create a sort of passive income business.
Exactly very well said. Well generating passive income is not easy, you have to work hard to create your own business while you are continuing your job. I started my career as a web developer 9 to 5 job. When I had come home, I learned something new and started freelancing during 2008 to 2010. When making iPhone apps become hit over time during those era, I started to learning iPhone apps development while working the day job. Then once some of my iPhone apps started earning I quit my day job, and work so hard even some days 16 hours to learn and produce something more creative. Over time, my business become so good. For last 8 years, I have been working from my home, no office, living by my passive income. For me passive income, doesn't mean no work, it means you work when you really want to work. He is 100% correct about the buying courses angle. They all sell the same information, re-worded to sound unique and special. You can find everything you need to know online for free, and through trial and error. It should never cost you $2,000 to discover that SEO is important.
passive income is not passive at all. everything involves work. from ideation to execution. the trick is doing what you love!
I made a "passive" income with 1 of two methods. First I worked 18 hours a day for 2 years until I made enough to take 8 months off and money came in.. but it obviously dwindled down without maintenance. Second I built a business where I delegated the work out to a team I built over the course of 9 years.. which still isn't passive because it requires management.
